Tooth Coloured Fillings

Filling it in Right!

When you develop a cavity, Dr. Shaffer carefully removes the decayed areas of the tooth, and fills the space with a durable dental (tooth coloured) composite material.

While the most common use for a composite filling is to seal up a cavity, the composite material can also be used to rebuild chipped or worn teeth. The filling will then be precisely placed, shaped, and polished, restoring your tooth to its original shape and function.

Because composite fillings are white or tooth-colored, they can be closely matched to the color of your existing teeth. Therefore, they are well suited for use in front teeth or the more visible areas of the back teeth. They are durable and will last years, giving you a long lasting, beautiful smile.
