Dental Implants
Filling in the Gap
Implant dentistry is the most advanced therapy available to replace missing teeth. Dental implants are the best alternative to natural teeth, because they replace both the root and the body of the tooth.
An implant consists of two parts: a small titanium post that is surgically implanted into the jawbone beneath the gums, and a porcelain crown which sits on top of the post and effectively replaces the tooth.

Dental implant restorations look, feel and act like natural teeth. Patients who have been treated with implants are able to chew all the foods they desire and no longer have to suffer the embarrassment of having gaps in their smile or deal with appliances such as dentures. Some people who have lost bone in their jaw can still get implants, but first the bone must be augmented with a bone graft.
